Where is your studio located?

My studio is located in my home in State College, PA. I sell my ceramics mostly through in-person art fairs in the mid-atlantic region and also online.

Can I visit and shop at your studio?

Yes. I have intermittent availability for this type of shopping, but I can work with you to make an appointment. As a note, due to the nature of the way that I work, your best selection will always be at shows or in online restock drops.

Can I buy online and pick up in person?

Yes! I love when my work is in the local community and local pickups work great for everyone! When you purchase your items in an online drop, select "pickup" at checkout and you will not be charged shipping fees. We'll notify you when your item is ready for pickup at the studio. The best part about local pick ups is we always get those ready first, so your item will often be available the very next day after you order.

Why isn't your online shop always open?

I am a one woman show–who also works a full time day-job. This means that I throw/make all of the pottery by hand and then also glaze it by hand (a somewhat time intensive process for some of the pieces).

How do restocks work?

Restocks are a limited time sale on my website at a pre-designated time and date. The inventory and product availability is not always available in advance, as the kiln gods tend to create some magic and also some disasters, meaning I do not always know what work will meet my quality standards.

Most items are one of a kind, but may have a relative or similar pot in this or future sales, as I have certain types/colors that I remake–however, each has slight variation. This is why most are listed individually, so that you may pick out the exact piece that you will receive.

Items in your cart are not held in your cart; you must pay for and complete the transaction to ensure that you are purchasing the item. Once purchased, we will work to get everything packed up and shipped out as soon as possible–keeping in mind that I am a one woman show, so I can only pack pots so fast!

Are your items dishwasher/microwave/oven safe?

For the most part, my work is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe! There are a few considerations/exceptions. Any work that has lustre on it (gold, white gold, or other colors) is not able to be used in these ways. This is due to the metal and the process of adding that to the pot. Also, certain other items like soap pumps or certain sculptural elements may not be safe in these ways either.

Also, as a word of caution, I myself have had mugs break in a dishwasher because of how the dishwasher uses high power water to clean items. So please exercise caution in loading.

Can I place a special order or make special requests?

At this time, I am not taking special orders or requests, as the lead time can be very long, and it is very difficult to track. If you have a special order in progress, I will honor that special order.

The one exception to this is if you would like a custom set of dinnerware. (Plate, Mug/Cup, Bowl, serving dishes, etc.) The minimum order for custom dinnerware is currently $1,500 USD. To inquire about this option, please reach out to me via the contact form.

How do you calculate shipping?

Shipping is calculated based on a number of factors like weight, size, and distance. Pottery/ceramics are not inexpensive to ship due to many things, including the need for some serious protective packaging. Also, shipping costs have been rising drastically and quickly, I am doing my best to minimize that cost.

How do you ensure items arrive safely? What if something arrives broken?

I have spent a lot of time shipping (and purchasing) pottery, which has led me to a very specific pottery wrapping practice that has a low-loss rate–and it is rare that something arrives broken.

If you do receive something broken, please email me a photo of the broken item and several pictures of the box. This allows me to learn from what happens in transit and if needed, make a claim with the shipper. If I have a similar piece on hand, I can ship you a replacement immediately. Or, you can wait for me to make a new item (this can take 4-6 weeks depending on firing and creation schedules which is why I try really hard not to have anything break in shipping). If these are not options for you,  I can also process a refund for you (and often this is what is necessary due to production times and availability of work).
