Emily hand throws each oil bottle, sizing the opening (accounting for shrinkage) to ensure a great fit between the stopper and the bottle. From there, it is dried and trimmed and fired for the first time. The soap dispenser is then meticulously hand glazed and fired for a second time. When it comes out of the kiln, a dispenser nozzle is added in one of three available colors (each dispenser is matched to the color that I feel works best for the piece).
